Last updated October 18, 2026. The Daily Dry Down is a fiction series with a free fan league. This page says what we collect and why. We do not sell your data.
Join the League: your Instagram handle, your email address, whether you agreed to show your handle on the leaderboard, and whether you want update emails. Your handle is shown publicly on the leaderboard only if you agree. Your email is never shown.
Keep Me in the Story (email signup): your email address.
Suggestions and predictions: what you type, plus the handle and email you give in that form.
Contact: there is no form that stores a message. The contact button opens your own email app with a preset subject after a human check.
Security records: when someone tries a wrong password or probes the site, we keep the time, IP address, country, network and browser string. These are deleted after 90 days.
To run the league and leaderboard, send the updates you asked for, read your suggestions, and keep the site safe. Instagram comments and likes happen on Instagram and follow Instagram's own rules.
Cloudflare hosts the site, stores records for it and runs the human check (Turnstile). Buttondown sends our emails and holds the email list. Google Sheets holds a private backup of league and suggestion entries. Google Fonts loads the fonts you see, which sends your IP address to Google. Each has its own privacy policy. We do not use ad trackers.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Update emails are sent only to people who opted in. We use at most one update per new part, plus clues and league news.
You can ask to see, fix or delete your entry any time, including your email and handle: request deletion. We delete it from the leaderboard, the email list and the backup. Unsubscribing stops emails but does not remove your league entry, so say so if you want both gone.
The league is for people 13 and over. If you are under 13, do not enter your details.
If this changes, the date above changes. See also the official rules.
